Snags turns comments into issues in Linear, GitHub or Jira, and reads their status back. Sending comments to a tracker is part of Pro and Team.
Connect a tracker
Trackers connect on the web, not in the extension:
- Go to app.snags.com/integrations and sign in with your email.
- Select Connect next to Linear, GitHub or Jira and allow Snags.
- Choose where new issues go: a Linear team, a GitHub repository or a Jira project.
Each connection has one destination. To send issues somewhere else, change the destination and save.
Connections are yours. They appear on every audit page you open while you're signed in, including audits other people sent you.
Shared trackers for a workspace
On Team, a workspace can share tracker connections at app.snags.com/integrations?workspace=…. Everyone in the workspace except clients can then create issues with them from the workspace's audits. See Workspaces and roles.
Create an issue from a comment
On the audit page, choose Create issue on a comment and pick the tracker. Anyone who can open the audit, is signed in and is on Pro can do this.
Issues always use the connection of the person who creates them, never the audit author's. A shared link can't be used to file issues into someone else's tracker.
What the issue includes
- the comment, as written
- the page and the element
- the component behind it, when Snags found one
- the screenshot
- the steps that led up to it
- the console errors
- a link back to the comment on the audit page
Each comment holds one issue. Everyone with the link sees it on the comment, and coding agents see it over MCP. Whoever created the issue, or the audit's author, can unlink it.
Status sync
Every 15 minutes, Snags reads the status of each linked issue from its tracker, using the connection that created it:
- Closed as done marks the comment fixed.
- Closed as not planned, cancelled or won't do marks it won't fix.
- Reopened reopens a comment that the sync had closed.
A status someone set by hand on the audit page is never overridden. Changing a comment's status in Snags doesn't change the issue.
When a tracker stops answering
If a tracker's access is removed or expires, its section at app.snags.com/integrations says it isn't answering, with a link to connect it again.
